In news out of Rockland County, New York this week, embattled and failed Piermont, New York Mayor Bruce Tucker announced to a small group of his supplicant enablers that he will not be running for re-election as Mayor of Piermont in November. Apparently the news was initially only circulated in a secret e-mail to the few Piermont residents who actually like him. But news like that gets out.
Meanwhile, the obsequious Tucker fawners are still conspiring to
cram-down a maliciously-executed “Comprehensive Plan” on the
mostly-unsuspecting and innocent Piermont residents. That’s happening right
now, as we speak, and the Piermont residents had better wake up to it en
masse.
All that said, it is right now more likely than not that Bruce
Tucker’s political “career” has as much life left in it as one of his barbeque pigs on a spit at his now-defunct Front Street Smokehouse & Saloon in
Elizabeth, New Jersey. You know. His business that lasted but a little over
three years and failed economically? As far as the public record goes, Tucker's greasy pig "smokehouse" was never disclosed by Bruce Tucker to
the Piermont voters. It was never even known-about in Piermont until posted to
this Blog. Now we all know.
Back to Bruce Tucker’s cowardly surrender this week.
It all started with this February 2, 2025 Groundhog Day Facebook post from the
Piermont Democratic Committee – Bruce Tucker’s own party:

Incidentally, I am a political independent. I do not care about party. I care about competence and character.
While the Piermont Democratic Committee will probably
have fixed their outrageous typographical errors in this Facebook post by the
time that you read this Blog entry, here is how the Committee’s February 2,
2025 post actually read even as of earlier today, February 7, 2025:
https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100064494320485
Incidentally, I am a political independent. I do not care about party. I care about competence and character.
The text above actually reads:
“Are you a Democrat
interested in running for office in Piermont?
Are you willing to serve your community as a Trustee or Mayor?
Do you have the experience and time it takes to be a Village Judge ?
The following seats are up for election and petitioning starts February 25. Primary is end of June for November election.
Mayor
Trustee, Incumbant[sic] Michael Wright
Trustee, Incumbant[sic] Mark Blomquist
Village Justice, Incumbant[sic], Marc Ruby, Esq.
[Bold-faced emphasis added].”

You will also note that in the above-quoted Piermont Democratic Committee announcement text, Bruce Tucker’s name isn’t
even identified next to the word “Mayor” as one of the listed “Incumbants”[sic]. That is how hard
Bruce Tucker sought to make his pathetic exit as quiet and hush-hush as
possible:
Because Bruce Tucker is far too arrogant to admit his
manifold failures.
To admit that he has been exposed as a political fraud and badly beaten.
To admit that virtually no one in the 2,500-person
Village of Piermont likes or respects him.
To admit that virtually everyone in the 2,500-person
Village of Piermont is sick of his destructive and crassly-commercial non-vision, his faux-civic culture of purposeful opacity and non-disclosure, his over-development scams, his amateurish
patronage hijinks, his crooked infantile token-economies, his reckless over-spending, and
his rank financial incompetence.
The cowardice of Bruce Tucker's withdrawal as Piermont Mayor
continued as extant throughout this week. Tucker apparently went on the road and left
town, to make sure that no news crew would be able to interview him on-camera
about his failed mayoral reign and his hasty decision to depart the mayoral
office.
Thankfully, News12’s ace reporter Diane Caruso apparently caught up to
Bruce Tucker on the phone, while the now-infamous Garmento Mayor was hiding-out. Tucker thereupon confirmed to Diane Caruso and News12 on the phone that he
was not running for re-election as Mayor of Piermont. News12 ran the story
briefly on television on Tuesday night, February 4, 2025, in rotation.
Here is the bottom line. Bruce Tucker just quit in
disgrace, after 7+ years of desecrating Piermont.
No fanfare. No press conference. No press release.
No post on the Village of Piermont website.
Somehow News12 seems to have been prevented from uploading the video of the February 4 News12 news piece to the
News12 website.
Somehow Bruce Tucker seems to have prevented
lohud/Journal News or the RCBJ Succubus from covering the story at all.
Somehow, Bruce Tucker even seems to have prevented
the milquetoast Facebook pages of “Preserve Piermont”, “Piermont Happenings”,
and “Piermont NY Community Page” from covering the story at all.
And you already knew that the worthless propaganda-trash "Piermont Newsletter", "published" on rare and unwanted occasions by Tucker-minion "Piermont Civic Association", will not ever acknowledge Bruce Tucker's departure in all its disgrace. The authors and publishers of that tripe would still be sucking-up to Tucker if he lived in Waymart.
This all surprises no one. Bruce Tucker has been
suppressing news and information about Piermont government and his own
malfeasance since he took office in 2018.
Yet he lost that fight to me.
As for the RCBJ Succubus and the
milquetoast Facebook pages, there is a coward born every minute.
So – exit, Bruce Tucker.
Not with a bang, but with a garmento.
