Following the 2024 commencement of a “Risk Assessment” of the embattled Lower Hudson River Valley municipality, the Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) has announced that it is now commencing a long-awaited audit of Mayor Bruce Tucker’s Village of Piermont, New York:

This significant development, yet to be publicly-communicated by the Comptroller or by any local media to date, was instead quietly revealed in a newly-discovered document recently uploaded to the Village of Piermont’s Internet website reflecting draft minutes of the Village’s sparsely-attended June 10, 2025 Board of Trustees meeting:

“Unhand Piermont!” launched a campaign to rid the Village of Piermont of overdevelopment, environmental and fiscal harm, and the Village’s corrupted government officials, over one year ago on April 10, 2024:

Finally, it has yet to be determined how long the New York State Comptroller’s audit of Piermont will take. Typically, the auditors will follow the investigation wherever it leads. 

This is now a vitally-important concept for residents of the nepotistic and clannish Village of Piermont, many of whom have found themselves conflicted over the past year by dint of their individual past interactions with - and in many cases their misguided fealty towards - outgoing Mayor Bruce Tucker and the other Village of Piermont “officials” who currently populate the Piermont Board of Trustees and Piermont Village Hall. This sordid pool includes the various boards, committees, publications, non-profits, and other interest-groups and individuals that have denigrated themselves as sycophants to do Bruce Tucker’s malevolent bidding over the past seven-plus years of his harmful mayoral reign.
 
Right now, each and every individual who has enabled Bruce Tucker and his Village Hall lackeys, is vulnerable to the prospect of becoming themselves swept-up in the Comptroller’s audit of Piermont. After all, there are only about 2,500 residents in Piermont, and it has been beyond simple to figure out which ones are the Tucker-philes. Moreover, the existence and progress of the OSC auditing activities will continue to be reported-out to county, state, and federal agencies with law enforcement power including the Rockland County District Attorney’s Office, the New York State Attorney General’s Office, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York. All of them.
 
This situation may get much worse before it gets any better - not just for the Village and Bruce Tucker, but also for any individual possessing the requisite lack of judgment needed to choose to continue to associate with Tucker. Therefore, I republish the call to any and all whistleblowers, below. If you have any knowledge of any malfeasance by Mayor Bruce Tucker or others within Village of Piermont government, past or present, you are urged to report what you know to the Office of the New York State Comptroller.
