Police Reports about Piermont Mayor Bruce Tucker’s “Lava Lounge” in Elizabeth,
New Jersey previously posted to this Blog - the below Police
Investigation Report about Tucker’s hellish drinking establishment
is beyond outrageous.
According to this Police Investigation Report, Bruce Tucker’s own Lava Lounge disc jockey is said to have struck a victim in the back of the head, as the victim walked out of Tucker’s Lava Lounge at around 4:00 in the morning. Seven other males then jumped in. Together with Tucker’s Lava Lounge disc jockey, the eight men pummeled the victim on the sidewalk, leaving the victim injured for his father to drive him to the hospital.
Even though Bruce Tucker got elected as Mayor of Piermont, New York a few years later by claiming to be a retired successful businessman, Bruce Tucker lied. Public records reveal that Bruce Tucker attested to the City of Elizabeth alcohol board and City Council members, that he opened up Lava Lounge because his adjacent pig barbeque restaurant “Front Street Smokehouse & Saloon” had been failing for four and a half years:

Yet, isn’t it a far worse failure for a business owner to operate a late-night bar that tortures innocent residents of a neighborhood with noise, drunken fights, public urination, bottle-throwing, incessant late-night police calls, and even an occasional report of a shot fired – a Jersey Bacchanalian caupona harboring and catering to dangerous violent individuals willing to gang-style beat-up a guy on the sidewalk in front of the establishment for everyone else to see? Ask Bruce Tucker about it, the next time that you see him wearing his trademark dumb smirk on the Piermont sidewalk. He will probably tell you that it was all a big misunderstanding, and just a few young men having a little fun on a Friday summer night out in Elizabeth town.

(minus the fact that Tucker falsified thread-counts on sheets he sold, of
course). Yet also to this day, Bruce Tucker’s experience owning and operating his
repulsive Lava Lounge in Elizabeth, New Jersey has been studiously omitted from Tucker’s LinkedIn pages. Look:
Now it is really clear why. Bruce Tucker never wanted you to know that he owned and operated that debauched Elizabeth inferno known as “Lava Lounge”.
And yet this Bruce Tucker is the same guy that Piermont, New York residents are expected to trust to make their quaint, beautiful, picturesque, and historic Lower Hudson River Valley village a place for families with children to thrive in and love?
This Bruce Tucker is supposed to be a leader - a paragon of civic responsibility?
That's a spit-take if I ever heard one.

NARRATIVE:
On 08/27/2011 at 0404 hrs. Bryan Cleza walked into police headquarters on 1 Police Plaza and stated he was assaulted in front of the Lava Lounge on Elizabeth Ave[nue]/Front St[reet].
He stated he
went to the bar to pick up his friend and when he was walking out a man he only
knows as “[_______]” who the victim states is a disc jockey at Lava Lounge
struck him in the back of the head causing him to fall on the ground.
Victim
then states he was attacked by 7 other males. He stated one of the 7 males was
named “[_______]” and he had long hair and dark skin. Victim also stated he
believed “[_______]” lives in the Roselle Apartments by Warinanco Park.
Victim
could not identify or describe any other assailants.
Victim sustained minor
scratches to his face, minor cuts to his elbow, a scratch to his neck, and
moderate swelling to his right forearm.
EMS7 responded to headquarters to treat
the victim but the victim did not want to go to the hospital with EMS 7.
Victim
stated his father Manuel Cleza would drive him to Trinitas Hospital. Victim’s
injuries were non-life threatening.
Victim advised.
