Too Much Time On Her Hands.

It is Labor Day, September 1, 2025. Residents of Piermont, New York, and residents of Rockland County, New York generally, eagerly await the Audit Report from Tom DiNapoli’s Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC). The Audit Report is expected to excoriate Piermont’s financial practices. The Audit Report is expected to deliver a crushing blow to Piermont Mayor Bruce Tucker, his morally-bereft Piermont Village Hall government, and his contemptible enablers.

Yet carefully-rendered governmental audits take time. So, too, do the audit reports which follow them, and the various law enforcement actions which may follow them:
Accordingly, it is entirely possible that the Piermont OSC Audit Report will issue sometime after Garmento Mayor Bruce Tucker’s December 31, 2025 term-end date – and as you know, Tucker has already conceded that he will not seek another mayoral term. In other words, the Piermont OSC Audit Report might well issue after Bruce Tucker has already slithered off in disgrace to Bay Head, New Jersey as expected.

In the meantime, if you were following the July and August meetings at Piermont Village Hall, you noticed something unusual. Piermont Village DisTrustee Christine McAndrews skipped out on the July 15, 2025 Board of Trustees Meeting. She was marked as “not present”:

Why is this so important? Because Christine McAndrews thereby avoided the necessity to vote on a Resolution to adopt the Piermont Comprehensive Plan (Item #9) - and also thereby avoided the necessity to vote on a Resolution adopting a “Negative Declaration” facilitating the Comprehensive Plan (Item #10). In other words, Christine McAndrews skipped out on what may have been the two most important Village Board votes in Piermont’s history.

As if that were not remarkable enough, please have a look at the draft minutes of the August 12, 2025 Piermont Board of Trustees meeting which followed:
Please keep in mind that this was a Village Board meeting that few attended. It certainly was not live-blogged anywhere on the Internet in the interests of transparent government.

Absolutely BURIED at the very end of this tediously-boring meeting – at the end of “Item #13” – was a brief acknowledgement by Garmento Mayor Bruce Tucker that Christine McAndrews has departed her post on the Piermont Board of Trustees:

“Mayor Tucker stated that Trustee McAndrews is moving and thanked her for serving on the board”.
*    *    *    *    *

Piermont Mayor Bruce Tucker had appointed Christine McAndrews on June 28, 2024 to fill the remainder of a vacant Board of Trustees term - after Piermont DisTrustee Rob Burns resigned in his frustration and anger over a very-public mandate rejecting him.

In other words, Christine McAndrews was selected and anointed as Village Trustee by Mayor Bruce Tucker, in much the same manner as Bruce Tucker now seeks to select and anoint Kevin Timoney as his mayoral successor more recently. Therefore, the first observation here, is a firm good riddance to former Piermont DisTrustee Christine McAndrews. Until her conspicuous absence for the two critical July 15, 2025 Board of Trustees votes, Christine McAndrews appears to have acted and voted in lock-step with Garmento Mayor Bruce Tucker, as his veritable patsy.

What should Christine McAndrews have done, though? During her tenure as Village Trustee, Christine McAndrews took no decisive action to stop the heinous over-development planned for 447-477 Piermont Avenue. Christine McAndrews took no decisive action to halt the illegal Central Business Multi-Use (CBM) Zone, or to overturn “Piermont Local Law No. 4 of 2023” which facilitated it.

As far as anyone is aware, Christine McAndrews never publicly opposed the ill-intentioned overspending of Piermont resident tax dollars on the Young v. Piermont litigation, even though she had a public platform to do that for over a year.

For that matter, Christine McAndrews never publicly opposed the demented overspending by Mayor Bruce Tucker on Piermont's vindictive investigation against Tucker’s political enemy Nate Mitchell. Those outrageous overspends taken together with their attendant resource-allocations must have cost Piermont taxpayers over US$200,000, and they were in fact totally unnecessary:

Christine McAndrews didn’t speak out publicly against these Bruce Tucker travesties. Instead, for a year, McAndrews just meekly went along with what Garmento Mayor Bruce Tucker wanted - like all the other Piermont supplicants who blindly follow Tucker around.

But what decisive action did Christine McAndrews ultimately take?

She skipped town, that’s what.

Did she publicly state why?

No. Not to date, she didn’t, as far as anyone is aware.

So therefore, Christine McAndrews has left it to us to determine why she has abruptly skipped town and departed the Piermont Board of Trustees. After all, why would she have agreed to serve as Trustee last summer, if a “move” away from Piermont was already in the works or even contemplated? Why would anyone agree to serve as Piermont Trustee if they didn’t already intend to stay in Piermont? Some more recent event, or more recent series of events, must have driven her out. What could that event, or those events, be?

What follows below, after the highlighted July 15 and August 12 Village Board minutes, are newly-released documents that you have not seen before. These newly-released documents are from the New York State Comptroller audit files confirming a Thursday October 10, 2024 onsite risk assessment inquiry made by Matthew P. (Matt) Colangelo. Colangelo met with Piermont DisTrustee Christine McAndrews on that date, as evidenced by the below paper-trail.

As far as we know, Christine McAndrews has never publicly acknowledged that her in-the-flesh personal meeting with Auditor Colangelo and the New York State Comptroller's office even happened, much less disclosed to the Piermont taxpaying residents what was discussed.

You will notice that a portion of the Comptroller-McAndrews paper-trail below appears to be heavily redacted. That redaction was made by the Comptroller’s office when producing the Records to me under FOIL. Please keep in mind that the Comptroller's office already indicated to me that certain redactions were made to these FOIL-produced Records if they were "compiled for law enforcement purposes and which, if disclosed would... interfere with law enforcement investigations or judicial proceedings":

So, why, exactly, has Christine McAndrews elected not to share the substance or even the occurrence of this specific meeting with the Piermont resident taxpayers? Perhaps Christine McAndrews had hoped that the New York State Comptroller inquiry into Mayor Bruce Tucker and the crooked Piermont village finances would simply go away.

But it didn’t.

On June 10, 2025, the Comptroller Audit was mentioned in passing at a Piermont Board of Trustees meeting that, again, few attended. Then on July 12, 2025 the news of the Comptroller Audit broke publicly, as hard as Bruce Tucker and his merry band of hick small-time governmental toads sought to suppress that information from the rest of the Piermont public otherwise.

Three days later, Christine McAndrews skipped out on the July 15, 2025 Board of Trustees meeting.

Now Christine McAndrews is skipping town entirely.

Is it any wonder she’s got too much time on her hands?

Please - read on.
