Piermont Mayoral Candidate Kevin Timoney STILL Wants Your College-Age Kids As "Interns". STOP Him.

When the going gets tough, the weird turn creepier.

Given that but a short 15 years ago, Piermont Village government’s failure to monitor the Piermont Fire Department led to a 16-year-old boy tied to a chair by three other firefighters and thereupon sexually-abused, in turn leading to criminal charges and massive civil liability not to mention inexcusable severe psychological damage to the victim and desecration of the Village’s reputation:

... just how smart do you think it would be for Kevin TIMBO Timoney to bring in one or more college-age interns to Piermont Village Hall to handle the Village’s work?
Well, guess what? It’s one of Piermont mayoral candidate Kevin Timoneys bright ideas. In fact, it’s a DOMINANT one. Moreover, this newly-discovered tasteless and infantile video linked below, and its accompanying Transcript, establish that Kevin Timoney has been hatching this plan of Piermont intern-capture since as early as June 20, 2025:

What about you? Were you yourself weirded-out like I was by Kevin Timoney’s detached abstracted campaign literature?... By his bizarre social media post where he brandished a stuffed rabbit?:

How about the narcissistic campaign image that Kevin Timoney posted of himself running through Piermont without his shirt on and with his tongue flapping out like Gene Simmons or Miley Cyrus?:

Well it’s all about to get even creepier than that. Read the below Transcripts, taken from videos dated about four months apart from each other.

Kevin Timoney is in it for the interns. At this point, Kevin Timoney has been ruminating and obsessing on an intern-grab plan for four months or more. All in pursuit of Kevin Timoney’s arcane fixation on growth.

In the below Transcript of a June 20, 2025 group video, you may recognize the name of the interviewer - Kevin Timoney’s good friend. ItRichard Skipper - the Carol Channing impersonator. Good luck with that line of work, Richard:

Richard Skipper Celebrates Ethics In Our Work.m4a
June 20, 2025

…RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:31:06 ] Well, I’ve got a question that I want to ask you, and this was based on something that was said that [“Meet The Candidates” night in Piermont].

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:31:11 ] Yeah.

RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:31:12 ] And, you know, as someone who’s running for public office, how do you ensure transparency?... and ethical accountability while also motivating people to believe that you are the change that is needed in Piermont?

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:31:31 ] Great question. And I think one of the easiest things that I’ve thought of is really, I mean[sic], get a college intern from St. Thomas Aquinas or Dominican College, which is right down the street from where we live. But they’re smarter than us. Get them to create a website that’s actually…
[ 00:31:48 ] easily[sic] to use and where you can ask questions you can… um[sic]… go in and just ask questions and I can do like[sic]… a Tuesday like[sic]… Fireside Chat where I answer questions right there online kind of similar to like[sic]… a podcast or something like that where I will talk to the people um[sic]… I don’t believe that we’re all going to always agree but we should be able to disagree in a respectful way and talk about these without having witch-hunts. And it’s been crazy here….

And here... from the Transcript of the October 9, 2025 Piermont mayoral “debate” that followed, almost four months later:

DORIA HILLSMAN
… [B]eyond architecture and environmental issues, is there anything else you feel threatens the character of the village?…

KEVIN TIMONEY
Thank you. I think… the threat… I would say is that we aren’t really promoting our small businesses as much as I… as I would like... um[sic]… We do have a downtown that does have… a lot of restaurants that we all know, but it does have a beautiful number of shops, and there are also spaces… um[sic]… This is a destination for people to come to. We need to make sure that our stores are getting… um[sic]… [pause]… a social presence. If that is getting[sic]… you know, one of my ideas that I’ve had is trying to get interns… um[sic]… from STAQ or Dominican here to help with… um[sic]… the Village Hall staff with the burden of work, or having them do social media presence for us, so… people realize that, you know, there’s Valentina’s Hair Salon, there’s Presence of Piermont, there’s women’s closing[sic] stores, we have ice cream. I want people to know that this is a thriving community, and we have a lot of character, so I think helping these local businesses… is very important.
[Emphasis supplied].

The Video:

Sure, we may have ice cream”. But if Kevin Timoney offers you or anyone in your family a cone, I’d decline.

And again, query - would you want your college-age children helping Jennifer DeYorgi Maher affix postage to envelopes and then mailing them out at the post office? Or, saying that they did?

Would you want your college-age children caught up in a New City litigation, or a Bruce Tucker-esque New York State Comptroller audit - even as a witness?

For that matter, would you want your college-age children learning to speak word-salad and fake answers on the fly while on the job just like Kevin Timoney?

I didn’t think so.

Moreover, why dont the spirit and principles of American ingenuity and capitalism generally, mean that the businesses need to do their own damn social media promotion for themselves? Why would that even be governments function? Because after all, you already know that if digital luminaries like Bruce Tucker and Michael Wright tried to do social media promotion for Piermont businesses, those business would all go bankrupt in the same hurry.

For that matter, why should Kevin Timoney be allowed to make presumably unpaid interns slave away for free, while full-time workers in Piermont Village Hall cash-in with salary, pension, and benefits? Why should the interns be doing the jobs that professional government workers within Village Hall are already collecting lots of Piermont tax dollars to do? The whole concept is insulting and disconnected from commercial reality.

And besides, the last time I can remember an administration led by a mendacious registered Democrat using interns to ease the workplace tension, it didn’t go so well, did it?

Idiot.

Will someone in Piermont PLEASE show this idiot how to reverse a .jpeg image before posting it to social media?...

PLEASE??!!!...

TOMORROW NIGHT!: Piermont Mayoral Candidate Town Hall.

Even More Kevin Timoney Ad Hominem Baseless Attacks Against Nate Mitchell.

The overt hypocrisy of Piermont mayoral candidate Kevin Timoney has again reared its ugly head, as previously noted to this Blog last week:

In his self-absorbed and grossly disingenuous social media postings, Kevin Timoney feigns to envision a Village of Piermont “where ideas can be shared without fear, and where we support each other instead of tearing each other down”.

Timoneyeach other would therefore ostensibly include his current political opponent Nate Mitchell, also running for Piermont Mayor.

Kevin Timoney decries “contentious public meetings”, “personal attacks”, and “vitriol” in social media, in favor of “constructive dialogue”:

Therefore, why is it that in his Friday, June 20, 2025 YouTube-posted interview with his good friend, Carol Channing impersonator Richard Skipper, Kevin Timoney launched baseless ad hominem attacks at his mayoral opponent Nate Mitchell - not once, not twice, but at least three separate times - slamming Nate Mitchell as somehow lacking in ethics?

Kevin Timoney is a total fabricator.

Here is the transcript of those appalling interview segments, if you can read through Kevin Timoneys now-characteristic run-on sentence word-salad narratives. The full video is currently on garish display at:

Richard Skipper Celebrates Ethics In Our Work.m4a
Friday, June 20, 2025
https://youtu.be/o7uPOOwO1Vk
[Bold-face emphasis supplied, below]

… RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:01:20 ] And I also have someone who is running for Mayor of Piermont, New York, where I live. So without further ado, we’re going to be talking about ethics today, ethics in terms of the paths that we’re on, how we approach our jobs, how we navigate when the people around us are not ethical
[ 00:26:13 ] … Speaking of someone who’s molding the story, I’m going to bring on Kevin Timoney right now. He is here in Piermont where I live with my husband of 35 years. Kevin has decided to throw his hat into the ring. And he is running for the Mayor of Piermont… So, thank you. Thank you. So, Kevin, first of all, and I talked a brief moment about this before we started the show… Why?

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:26:49 ] That’s an amazing question, and I get that a lot. So it literally happened out of nowhere. Not out of nowhere, but I was talking to a lot of my friends, and we were saying that we weren’t very happy with the candidate who was running for Mayor… And my husband and I, we have a five-year-old daughter that we adopted in 2020.

… RICHARD SKIPPER
Now let me interrupt for just a moment.
[ 00:27:09 ] I want to let everyone know that this candidate was running unopposed.

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:27:14 ] Correct. Yes so I was out to dinner with some of my friends that live right down the street and they were like you know you should run… um[sic]… we’re not a fan of his and I was like[sic] I work full time I have a five-year-old I don’t need extra stress… um[sic] but I don’t[sic]… I also like to go running, like[sic] physically running. And I went [outside] that Sunday morning, I was running by myself and I was like[sic], “It’s an easy excuse to kind of push it off to somebody else and say someone else didn’t do it”. So I texted my friends that I had dinner with that evening before. And I said, “I’m going to meet the candidates on Tuesday. After that, I will then make a decision”. So I went to the “Meet the Candidates” that they had in our Village Hall and I heard him speak. I was not impressed, let’s say…

RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:28:00 ] I was there.

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:28:01 ] I know you were there. I remember. That’s how I mentioned it. I wasn’t happy. And I actually just didn’t like, I don’t know if this is the forum to get into it, but there’s a sordid history with him and why he’s on the current… uh[sic]… Board of Trustees that he is[sic]… he didn’t answer any of these questions… um[sic]… since he’s not running for re-election for that he’s doing mayoral thing[sic]… he didn’t really need to… um[sic]… So I just didn’t like it. And speaking of ethics, I actually, that’s why I am running. I don’t think he is very ethical. So I decided to throw my hat in the ring. It was literally that Tuesday night before Memorial Day. I’d already missed the Democratic primary to be on that ballot with him, which then wouldn’t give Piermont voters have[sic] a double choice in November, so I spoke to a bunch of local people in politics on the [Piermont] Democratic Committee and they were like[sic], “It’s not over yet”. They said, “You know, we do can get it if we can get enough signatures and we create a party, you can run on the independent line”.
[ 00:29:04 ]
All weekend, I went out and I was getting signatures. I went, I got, I think I needed to get 62. I ended up getting over 150.
[ 00:29:14 ] On a holiday weekend I think the weather helped me that it was[sic]… it wasn’t great but I got enough signatures. I went to our Board of Elections I got… um[sic]… it’s notarized stamped[sic]… so I’m officially in as… uh[sic]… Independent for “Piermont United”… um[sic]… so as I… I[sic]… think Richard mentioned… um[sic]… it’s good to give people choices though too… So if he was running unopposed it’s really not fair for the Piermont community just to have one choice so we both hopefully[sic]… we’ll be able to have a debate, we’ll be able to… um[sic]… show what we both can give. I’m a 22-year public servant. I’ve worked for the state and the city, and I currently still work for the city of New York, where I manage IT contracts.
[ 00:30:01 ] I manage quite a large staff, so I know about procurement, I know about budgets, I know about how to treat people… with respect and kindness… um[sic]… I[sic] my staff that I currently work with… um[sic]… we all have a great relationship I’ve never[sic]… like they’re the hardest workers I will never make them do work that I can’t do myself that I don’t know how to do so I’m much I’m[sic]… a hands-on person I want to know their process and my process and be collaborative so you know I keep saying I have a five-year-old daughter I love her she’s my everything so I’m running because I love Piermont where Richard and I live and I wanna[sic]… I don’t want this you know go down[sic]… I want her to be safe and I want her to be able to ride the streets on her bike when she’s old enough and meet her friends and worried that people are yelling at her because something is “green space” versus “private property” and it seems right now in Piermont… um[sic]… and if I’m speaking too much let me know but no, no, it’s important.

RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:31:06 ] Well, I’ve got a question that I want to ask you, and this was based on something that was said that night…
[ 00:31:12 ] And, you know, as someone who’s running for public office, how do you ensure transparency? And ethical accountability while also motivating people to believe that you are the change that is needed in Piermont?

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:31:31 ] Great question. And I think one of the easiest things that I’ve thought of is really, I mean, get a college intern from St. Thomas Aquinas or Dominican College, which is right down the street from where we live. But they’re smarter than us. Get them to create a website that’s actually.
[ 00:31:48 ] easily[sic]… to use and where you can ask questions you can… um[sic]… go in and just ask questions and I can do like a Tuesday like[sic]… Fireside Chat where I answer questions right there online kind of similar to like a podcast or something like that where I will talk to the people… um[sic]… I don’t believe that we’re all going to always agree but we should be able to disagree in a respectful way and talk about these without having witch-hunts. And it’s been crazy here. Just for you guys to know, like there’s these blogs that have our names on there where if you don’t agree with something, you’re complicit. Like it’s gotten ridiculous where…
[ 00:32:26 ] we are Democrats, majority of the people here, and we’re fighting with each other. How are we going to beat the Trumpers and like[sic]… the federal government when we can’t ourselves come together? So I’m trying to bring a united front with our Democrats. I think we need[sic]… I know people have issues with our current Mayor sitting. And I think the guy who is running up against me is not ethical. He had to resign for his current position… position um[sic]… because he gave information to an outside group that wanted to sue the village and instead of using his voice in[sic] the Village Trustee that he was in[sic]… he gave this information which cost us taxpayers taxpayers[sic]… hundreds of thousand dollars in legal fees. He didn’t have to pay those because he rents an apartment. He’s not a property-owner. So he didn’t get affected by what we had to do. He had a voice and he chose not to use it. He went unethically behind our backs and gave this group this information.
[ 00:33:27 ] Um[sic]… so that’s upsetting to me, he was able to get back onto the ballot because he[sic]… all the paperwork was already in process, all stamped, and he was running unopposed in[sic] that Village Board um[sic]… line so four months later he got back on without any repercussions. There was no investigation because he did the resignation. I don’t want - and again it should be a drinking game. Every time I [see] my five-year-old daughter, I don’t want someone like that to be my Mayor. Where, you know, I don’t want to have a horrible president. I don’t want someone like that to just do what they want to do and be mayor.
[ 00:34:04 ] Like my daughter values a person.
[ 00:34:10 ] So that’s why I am running.

RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:34:13 ] Well, I love that. Well, we’re going to have a little round-robin game right now because I put together some questions about ethics in terms of our work… maybe I should ask Kevin this question - I’m not going to ask you. Do you think that ethics and ambition can coexist?...

... RICHARD SKIPPER
[ 00:50:39 ] How do you maintain your integrity and tell the truth at the same time?

KEVIN TIMONEY
[ 00:50:45 ] It’s a great question. Truthfully, I’m not ashamed of who I am. I’m not ashamed of what I’ve done.
[ 00:50:56 ] I can talk about anything I’ve done, um[sic]… happily and I got perfect[sic], but anything I’ve done, work-wise or anything, my personal life, I’m happy for that. If anyone wants to question me on it, I would love for that to happen. And I can speak freely about that. I think. That’s why I was saying earlier, we need a debate. I think we need to have, and I don’t know if Piermont, I don’t know if we’re big enough to have a debate or how that goes about, but I think we do need to like hold, like, like I mentioned before, I was stating stuff about my, which I don’t like and why he had to resign. But you’re right. He should have a platform to speak about that and give his reasoning behind it. I can say why X, Y. and Z it happened, but he needs to be able to speak for it. But it needs to be in a forum where....

[ 00:51:49 ] I should be there and I’m like, “Yeah, are you sure that’s what you know what I mean?” Like, I don’t want to recreate stories, and he should be able to do it to me. I should be able to get questions asked to me. If someone doesn’t like my response, question me on it and make me validate it. I think there needs to be an open, transparent discussion.

Mayoral Hopeful Kevin Timoney Crashes And Burns His Closing Statement, While Promising To "Straighten" Piermont's Future.

As probably the best indication of how Kevin Timoney would handle any pressure of being Piermont Mayor if God forbid he were ever elected as such, here is how Timoney crashed and burned his closing statement at the Piermont mayoral debate of October 9, 2025:

KEVIN TIMONEY
And… because… um[sic]… leadership starts with listening… [cough, cough]… it’s about direction.

We can’t… we can choose to be thoughtful… we [EEYAH!!… excuse me…] we can choose thoughtful development… that pro…[unintelligible]… that… projects that… protects Piermont’s charm while straightening its future. We can grow responsibly and manage our finances wisely and make decisions based on facts, not fear. My focus is on results of safer streets, smarter zoning, and responsible budgets, and a government that works for you… not against you. We deserve leaderships[sic]… that’s not a jo…[unintelligible]… that… that’s not just president[sic] for the fights but prepared to fix them. And that’s me. On Election Day, I hope I’ve earned your trust, your vote, and to lead Piermont into the next chapter. Thank you.
[Emphasis supplied].

You can find this gem and all other of Kevin Timoneys many gaffes and malapropisms uttered during the Piermont mayoral debate”, at this youtube link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z6Jn311x9j0

Somewhere, in Heaven, Norm Crosby is laughing like a hyena.

Piermont's Kevin Timoney Fudges His Availability.

In what is probably his most disingenuous answer of the evening, Kevin Timoney came up with this whopper during the Piermont mayoral debate of October 9, 2025.

Kevin Timoney proudly touts his full-time career as “Executive Director, Citywide Contracts at NYC Office of Technology & Innovation”, and it is clear that he has no current intention of quitting that post anytime soon. Additionally, in his answer below, Timoney also tells us that he has a husband, and that he has a daughter. He has a family, and a full-time job. He also tells us that he takes a bus commute to and from New York City three days a week, which alone could tie up an incremental nine or ten hours per week of his time depending upon traffic. Maybe more.

Yet we all know by now that the elected post of Mayor of Piermont is also full-time job, but for part-time pay – currently US$12,000 per year. It’s that same paucity of pay, by the way, that directly results in Piermont getting human driftwood running for office like disgraced exiting Mayor Bruce Tucker and now his anointed Mini-Me disciple Kevin Timoney.

So, Kevin Timoney assures us that he can handle two full-time careers at once. Why? Because he has a laptop on the bus. A laptop.

He'll be mayoring from the bus.

So, what is going to happen when there is yet another flood in Piermont? A law enforcement event? A discovery of a new contagion outbreak? A fire? Any of these things could happen at any hour.

Kevin Timoney is running for Mayor of Piermont against Nate Mitchell, a career first responder who works independently and is available to the community 24/7. And Kevin Timoney purports to assure us that he, too, will be readily available to the community as Mayor?

Cognitive dissonance? Having a difficult time wrapping your head around Timoney’s answer? Yeah. There’s a reason. The reason, is that Kevin Timoney is lying to you. Kevin Timoney is a member of a commercial real estate developer family.
He wants to be Mayor of Piermont out of affectation, for self-indulgent and self-serving purposes, and to carry out the malevolent anti-Mitchell wishes of his predecessor, Garmento Mayor Bruce Tucker.

If the Piermont electorate asks Kevin Timoney to maintain two full-time jobs, the result will hurt Piermont, not New York City. Kevin Timoney would make sure of that:

DORIA HILLSMAN
…Please explain your professional commitments… and how… will this change or affect your availability as Mayor?...

KEVIN TIMONEY
Oh… So yes… I… that’s a great questionum[sic]… And it was one I thought, as I mentioned before, I do have a five-year-old daughter… uh[sic]… Determining to run for Mayor, obviously, is a big… step and it’s a big thought-process[sic]. That is why I decided to run as an Independent… um[sic]… because I missed the Democratic primary and it was something that needed thoughtful consideration… um[sic]… But the more I thought about it, the more if you didn’t like something, you have to go out and change… and I’ve realized… um[sic]… I am fortunate enough to work from home two days a week, and I commute into the city where… um[sic]… on those other days. But… it’s a commute on the bus. As I mentioned, I get a laptop. I would love to answer questions, work on spreadsheets, do that… like… do things[sic]… I’m a very good multitasker… um[sic]… as my husband knows, I wake up early. I’ll go for a run… um[sic]… my day starts sometimes at 4:30 in the morning... um… Time is… wasted if you’re not doing something, so… um[sic]… I’m up for a challenge and I love it.
[Emphasis supplied].

Genius Kevin Timoney Tells Piermont Police How To Do Their Job.

I am certain that this particular Kevin Timoney “answer” at the October 9, 2025 Piermont mayoral debate will win Timoney countless admirers - not only at the Piermont Police Department in Piermont Village Hall, but also with law enforcement agencies all over Rockland County, New York and beyond.

Probably one of the dumbest things that Kevin Timoney could do on the mayoral campaign trail is insult the Piermont Police Chief and the Piermont Police force. Yet that’s exactly what Kevin Timoney did, by stating that his way to improve things in Piermont would be to “get them [the Piermont Police] more in a presence”[sic], because “you don’t actually see them when you’re eating”.

Hmmm…

Maybe Kevin Timoney thinks that we should just invite the cops into the restaurant, sit at the table, break bread, and have a few drinks with us, and then make them pick up the check as a sure-fire way to save taxpayer revenue.

I’m not kidding you about the quotations. What is perhaps Kevin Timoney’s most moronic answer of the October 9 Piermont mayoral debate, follows here:

DORIA HILLSMAN
… [W]hat are the elements that affect the quality of life for residents of a tourist destination?

KEVIN TIMONEY
… [H]aving the police presence for these crowded restaurants or whatnot, I think if people see the police out there walking about, riding on a bike, it deters them from… speeding or from acting recklessly walking around. So I think… having more of a police presence while they’re around there, not just driving around in a cop car but actually being physically outside and sh…[unintelligible] w…[unintelligible]… walking the beat… um[sic]… I think would help Piermont with our elements[sic].

Do you feel that the police presence, as it is now, is… adequate, or…?

KEVIN TIMONEY
No, it’s great. But I think… to do a creative way[sic] and to get them more in a presence[sic], so… you know… when they’re out and about and you see the car, but you don’t actually see them when you’re eating, I think people would see them actually walk around[sic]. I think it would help them[sic].
